LATEST INFORMATION: EL DORADO FIRE DEPARTMENT CALLED TO HIGH SCHOOL

EL DORADO – The El Dorado Fire Department was dispatched to El Dorado High School around 11:30 A.M. this morning when school faculty noticed smoke in the Boy’s Athletic Locker Room. At least three fire trucks and multiple firefighting personnel arrived just minutes later. As first responders entered the facility they were able to identify the source of the smoke coming from the vent of a clothes dryer inside the athletic department. School District personnel we spoke with said the Firefighters continued their search of the building and determined lint inside the dryer vent had restricted airflow and caused the smoke but there was no fire. After a continuous and thorough check of the facility the “All Clear” was given and the school day proceeded as normal.
