Sandy Sanford

B.A. “Sandy” Sanford has spent the last 30+ years in media & marketing. Originally starting his career in sales with Coca-Cola, then in 1993, Sandy joined an upstart radio station group outside of Shreveport, LA. Beginning as the lowest salesperson / afternoon sports reporter / weekend on air talent, he worked his way to Sales & Operations Manager. His radio career helped him jump into simultaneous positions both in television and newspaper.

In 2002, Sandy was recruited to South Arkansas and became General Manager for a radio group that owned numerous radio stations in several states. Several acquisitions later, Sandy was promoted to Vice President of Operations for that same company.

Sandy also was elected by his peers as President of the Arkansas Broadcasters Association. In that role, he represented the interests of 280+ radio and more than 30 television stations in the state. With the retirement of the Executive Director, Jim McCall, Sandy was in charge of the search for a new director for the association, while also revamping the constitution and bylaws for the organization.

Throughout his career, Sandy was often called on by national and regional broadcasters to offer his opinions on matters ranging from pending legislation, business forecasts to sports predictions. He was heard on-air with the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, a regular guest on Drive Time Sports and a stand in host for Chuck Barrett’s long running daily sports show.

After the broadcast industry, Sandy opened his own Advertising and Political Consultancy Agency, as well as owning the first digital billboards in South Arkansas. Through his agency, Sandy worked with many political candidates for both state and national office.

Personally, Sandy and his wife Kasie have six children, with one in Law School, two currently enrolled in Masters Degree programs, one high schooler, one in Elementary School, and one in Pre-K. They also are local business owners in South Arkansas, as they are owners in a Scrub and Uniform shop in El Dorado.
